Another sign of aging
1985. That was a fabulous year for me--heck most of the 80s were! And the "Brat Pack" movies spoke to me and my generation. From 16 Candles, to Pretty in Pink, to The Breakfast Club, all the way to St. Elmo's Fire -- I totally understood those movies.
So today, taking a break from the Olympics and household chores, I plopped down to watch the 1985 movie, The Breakfast Club. I haven't seen it in 20 years. Very interesting, yet all I could think of was "those fuggin kids!" There is some commercial out right now for back to school that re-enacts scenes from that movie and my response is the same. What happened? Ferris Beuller is a spoiled punk who takes advantage of his parents and everyone who trusts him. Joel in Risky Business is an idiot. Geeze - when did I get old? I still get it -- kids having a rough time fitting in, defining who they are, dealing with messed up parents, cliques, etc., but the cocky, disrespectful crap. Just get me a walker and some sensible shoes now.

Looking for land in all the wrong places...
...but finding other fun things!
Just a little outside of Smithville on the road to Upton we came upon an eery flock of vultures all perched and waiting for something. When I tried to get a good shot of them, another car came out of nowhere and scared them off, but when we went to turn around up the road, we found ourselves on
Then we went into downtown Smithville and ate some awesome burgers. While sitting in this old place, I noticed a great brick wall across the street. I drug the family over there, and even though it was just starting to rain, I made them play along and pose for me.

Tony
After Tony's long day of being an Extra on a movie yesterday, it was nice to just hang out as a family today. This is a sneaky shot Gio got with his cell phone.

Kaelyn's Photo Shoot 03/04/2008
Did a photoshoot with Kaelyn last night. We were overdue for a new one, plus I bought a beautiful new frame and needed a new pic.
For an impromtu shoot done in the backyard after work, I was very pleased with the shots we got.
We are just weeks away from her finally getting her braces. I think I am almost as excited as she is about them.
